Well, there's a surprise. The least publicity she gets, the better, as far as I'm concerned - but I know others feel differently, and believe that she IS innocent.
I know a few people who would jump at buying her story.. :/
I certainly don't believe she is innocent.
she doesn't owe Meredith's family anything, having not murdered their daughter; but you could send them a present if you feel bad about it.
I rarely 'believe' that people are guilty of something unless full process of the law has been seen to be undertaken; often just the trial but sometimes an appeal, too.

If, after that, they are still 'guilty', that is good enough for me.

Amanda Knox's appeal was upheld, I believe? So I am satisifed that justice has been carried out.

I have always felt desperately sorry for Meredith's family but their pain wouldn't have been diminished by the imprisonment of anyone innocent of the crime, surely?
Agree jno
I agree with jack, they dont go into these appeals half cocked, she has served 4 years. I thought her father said she wouldnt be releasing a book, but I suppose you have to strike while the iron is hot..
imo Amanda Knox knows far more than she is letting on...So I suppose her book will contain the "Hollywood" version of the murder of Meredith Kercher ,tailored to suit American readers..going on to spawn a Movie..and Millions of Bucks earnings...
My sympathy to Merediths family and friends..I only hope they are spared the pain and misery of coming into contract with any of the Publicity connected.

Quite right atrollope, she does know more than she has ever revealed.
Probably why she deflected blame onto Patrick Lumumba.

Still, I guess she and her boyfriend were too busy turning off their mobile phones and getting their story straight on the night of the murder.......

Allegedly.
I am always intrigued by the abiklity of the wider public to reach conclusions other than those reached by the court, with access to all the evidence and the full trial proceedure. People still want to believe that this woman is guilty, which i firmly believe is firmly rooted in the negative image created for her by the press - the 'Foxy Knoxy' tag, which she may have light-heartedly said once upon a time, and which the media have relentlessly labeled her with ever since, implying that she is a feckless liar, when the evidence - and verdict - indicates otherwise.
i think i read yesterday that her ex boyfriend is also going to publish a book ?
I've heard Foxy Knoxy was a nickname given to her in high school and when the press found out, they latched onto it for their own reasons.

The publisher would have to be sure of public opinion before they agreed to any financial deal surely?
Question Author
Still doesn't explain some more than a little odd behaviour follwing the murder of her housemate and her readiness to blame Lumumba, for which she was convicted.

Guess we'll never know the truth.
imo, i believe we may never really know what happened re the above case and maddy mc.cann^s .
There has been so much mis-information and speculation which has been leaked (and also has escaped) that I am really at a loss to understand why some people still believe her to be guilty.

The 'evidence' upon which she was convicted was shown to be flimsy and possibly corrupted and *still* people are crying out that it was her wot dunnit!!

Are her eyes too close together, or something.......?

If I were in Amanda Knox's shoes, I would *certainly* be releasing my story in the form of a book, with the possible serialization rights for newspapers.

Amanda Knox knows what Amanda Knox knows - we don't.

Let me put this to you...say if you were convicted, then released on appeal of a serious crime. And say of that crime generate huge media interest...and let's say you were 100% innocent.

Would you honestly walk away from (say) £3.5million in publishing rights?

Remember - you're innocent.
No the eyes...for me,the smirk..and what appeared to me,on seeing the news..her need to appear "cool" for the cameras.
If my friend and room mate had just been found Brutally Murdered,I am absolutely positive,I would beside myself with grief...(I shudder at the very thought/memory of that day)
She will want to get back at the incompetent legal system, the prosecutor with a dodgy record, and whoever was feeding stories to the press.

Would you blame her for that?

She's been acquitted by a jury who had access to all the facts, after the prosecution and the press had a field day blackening her character.

Should we not accept their verdict now?
Question Author
sp1814,

Maybe some of us are not as mercenary as others. I can't speak for others but my conscience wouldn't let me make such a vast amount of money from someone else's murder and misery.

Maybe she'll give some of her ill gotten gains to Lumumbu as he was innocent too but she would happily have seen him suffer at her behest for something he didn't commit.
