Who wants Labour out, and who do we replace them with? Does anyone know if the monkeys from the Planet of the Apes are doing anything right now?

Why specifically do you want Labour out?

And I think you should be more respectful of the Conservatives.
Question Author
Yes it would be good to get them out. What a bunch of idiots Labour are.
Well .....I'm free on Wednesday's after my night shift in String Fellows if you want me to fill in. I'm very good at hiding tax payers money in my G-string, and Im used to putting up with *********!
ass.....hole's
I am quite looking forward to General Election night - all those "Portillo" moments when ministers lose theie seats.
Just as a matter of interest what specific decisions do you object to that the Labour party have made that the Tories would not have made.

Or is it that you look around see something bad and simply blame whoever is in power?
Labour have taxed us to death and wasted the money on an overblown public sector /welfare state.
That's not specific enough.

That's just moaning "I want more money"

What taxes would you want to see lowered? by how much and how would you make up the shortfall.
Question Author
Jake, what i object to is that in 1997 everyone blamed the tories for the recession when it was also a global problem, now there is another "global problem" and Labour are trying to say "it's not us, it's global". They allowed a system to exist where people could get themselves into massive debt. They have spent more money than they have received from the tax payer. The burden of tax has increased. Now we are in problems. What a surprise.

If they want to get us out of being stuck in debt cut government spending and reduce taxes for ordinary people not the super rich.

The Labour party allowed a system to exist where people got themselves into massive debt?!!

Can you imagine if they'd introduced laws to restrict borrowing 5 years ago?

The screams of Nanny state would have been deafening!!!

Sounds to me like you're looking back with hidsight and saying "Why didn't they bring in a state managed economy like old Socialists?"

Where were the Tories in this clamouring for borrowing restrictions?

And if you want tax cuts for the ordinary person not the super rich you certainly don't wan't Cameron's lot!

Their first priority doesn't seen to be protecting mortgages it's safeguarding those with thousands in failing banks raising the amounts protected

Nice you know our taxes will safeguard their investments under the Tories!
Question Author
Labour are the reason we are in this mess, and only Labour. Cameron or Clegg would do a lot more to help ordinary folk than Labour.

Taxes under Labour are too high. Bring them down, reward the working man and woman, it's time to stop punishing the people who are the economy.

Would we have been in so much debt under the tories? No. We weren't.
Again I ask which taxes? how much and how are you making up the shortfall.

Anybody can sit and whinge "I pay too much tax"

Specific numbers show that you've a credible idea and are worth listening too.

Even if they numbers don't actually balance at least it looks as if you've thought about it and aren't just whining like a spoilt teenager who's been told he can't have more pocket money!
Again your not being specific. If you cut income tax the reward to the normal working man is minimal, but he then loses on education, health, welfare (remember not all welfare gos to the unemployed) etc. However a cut in income tax give large rewards to the rich.

It sounds to me that you are just following the media line.

Which taxes do you want cut specificaly and where is the benifit.
I want inheritance tax abolished, or at least raised way above the current limit.

It is just wrong to tax people inheriting money that has been accumulated after tax ( income tax, capital gains tax etc) has been paid on it

National Insurance is up
Car Tax up
Fuel tax up
Personal allowance not increased with inflation
Want more?

Look at any independent source and they will tell you the tax burden has increased. Do you really dispute this?

Labour have caused this problem and now they are reaping the rewards of their years of waste and excess taxing.

A general election will show who is right and who is telling the truth. Bring it on and get Labour out!

Question Author
Hi Dave, i want a tax reduction without benefiting the likes of JK Rowling who clearly has enough money to pay more tax.

I want the benefit to come to me and people like me. People who pay 40%, and wonder whether it is worth working when you have to hand over almost half what you earn.

I wasn't given a high paying job, I worked for it. Why am I being punished for hard work? Give a hard working guy a break so he can become a rich guy!
Question Author
Sorry, i am not being specific enough (I am being told).

We need to cut taxes for medium income people. Reduce the 40p band to 35p, reward hard work and people will work harder.

Not increase taxes on the rich, but close the loopholes that let some of them declare their income as a capital gain when it is clearly income.

Questions?

Car tax up not if you have a small engined car.
Fuel tax up yes as it has been with every government since they started taxing fuel - The Tories won't bring it down.

Agree with personal allowance however the money gained would be offset against other taxes.

National Insurance which is supposed to pay for the NHS which is now in surplus.

An election doesn't prove anything but that people want a change of Government.

Remember that the Tories didn't raise taxes they sold, to private enterprise everything that the taxpayers of this country paid for. Gas company, Electric company Phone company, there is no more family silver left to fund whatever they want to do this time.
So you earn over 35k per year it may be a lot of things but trust me its not middle income.

So what your saying is cut my tax.
Question Author
Hi Dave,

I agree the tories sold off water, gas, electricity. Was it right? I don't know, depends upon who you ask I guess.

Would the tories reduce fuel duty? I doubt it.

Would they reduce income tax? Despite what they are saying I believe they will.

To be honest the only real tory I like is Boris Johnson, and I think we should make him our supreme overlord!
