In the mellay that is British politics , surely the groundswell of support of medical supplies, clothing etc that was being kindly donated ,appears to have lost its momentum and those items can’t last indefinitely

well not forgotten as such it's on the back burner.

Yes Tora, I feel it is
No.
We have supplied heavy medium range weapons that are proving to be effective, and we are training Ukraine personnel here in the UK.
We have proclaimed our support for Ukraine many times.
Gromit I think bobbi is referring to the news coverage.
...anyway they are getting Braveheart training.....

Yes, I can't speak for other folk, but on a personal level, yes, it is way back on the "back burner."

At international level then no, as gromit pointed out it is still a concern.
I think the little local collecting points became overwhelmed - they had to say 'no more' where I live because they couldn't cope with the enormous outpouring of compassion and generosity - but the main agencies are still collecting enthusiastically.

As for other support, this from yesterday:

//Dozens of artillery guns, hundreds of drones and tens of thousands of ammunition rounds are to be sent by the UK to Ukraine over the coming weeks. Defence Secretary Ben Wallace said the package would ensure that Ukrainians had the "tools to defend their country from Putin's illegal invasion".
The announcement follows last month's government pledge of another £1bn in military support to Kyiv.//

No. I feel we just don't have PM bragging of what we are doing for them,to keep him in number 10.
Question Author
Thanks Naomi, I’m pleased they still have enough supplies such as medicine and clothing
Question Author
I don’t think Boris ‘bragged’ Pimply , he endorsed what the British people were doing to help
I also have the feeling that Russia has the upper hand in that Ukrainian conflict .
Don't forget other aid agencies are also doing their bit, Bobbi. If you've ever visited a disaster zone - and I have - you would have seen charities from all over the world hard at work there. It isn't just us doing what we can.
He,s not endorsed such since being voted out?
//I also have the feeling that Russia has the upper hand in that Ukrainian conflict . //

Me too, sqad, and that's the real worry.
I also have the feeling that Russia has the upper hand in that Ukrainian conflict .

the russians learnt very quickly from the initial bad losses
CB thread??
Question Author
Yes Pimply , it isn’t News !
the russians have the upper hand? Not according to the DTel today who report that the intelligence services believe that the Russian army is very close to complete collapse and inward implosion.
At the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the response of the British public to donate much needed supplies, was widely publicised. Now, though many still strive to collect as much as they can for the beleaguered Ukrainians, it is less so.
I think we are supplying more effective weaponry which will make a difference in the long run.

I hope the Russian people soon realise that Putin is their worst enemy!
