Best i think would be Take on me by Aha just cause after nearly 20 years i still think its pretty amazin and worst would be well basically nearly anything thats in the top 40 now.
I thought the Peter Gabriel 'Sledge-Hammer' video made by Nick Park takes a lot of beating. Another winner would be Pink Floyd's video, 'Another Brick in the Wall', the one with the marching hammers.
I'd aalso have said 'Sledgehammer' for best video, but since that has already been nominated, here are two other suggestions: 'Bad Cover Version' by Pulp (a bunch of ropey soundalikes spoof Band Aid) and 'It's Not The End Of The World?' by Super Furry Animals (a beautiful piece of French animation). Worst video? Depends on the criteria you use, but all those videos that just show a band playing in a plain white studio are pretty boring: 'Six' by Mansun and 'Stutter' by Elastica spring to mind as examples.
the best vid for me would have to be "just" by radiohead, intrigues me every time i see it.
i agree.............just is the best video ever..........there are some grets though, i like the video for Morning Glory by oasis
Worst has to be the video to All This Time by that fat Heffer who won Pop Idol
Mark the word is heifer and she is a witty, articulate person who can sing.....just because she is not a size ten mewling freak like most pop acts doesn't give a no score the right to bad mouth her.....

Best vid.....Dire Straits..Money for Nothing

Worst vid...Fat Boy Slim..Praise You

Though I was tempted to put in the DJ Sammy video for Heaven as the singer is a babe!

Right now, the Boogie Pimps have to have the best one! I actually liked Praise You (sorry, SFT42). Thought it was different and a bit 'out there'. And whilst we're on the subject of the Fatboy, I thoroughly enjoyed Weapon of Choice (is that what it was called?) with Christopher Walken. My other favourites include DD's Rio (I remember it looking so cool at the time), the Manson boy's Tainted Love (mock-Gothic anyone?), Queen's I Want to Break Free (is Roger Taylor the prettiet cross-dresser ever?), The Young Ones with Cliff Richard doing Living Doll (hilarious but never shown these days) and the Kate Bush one that had Donald Sutherland in it (very weird). Worst one? Westlife's muderous rip-off of Uptown Girl.
I can badmouth who the hell i like so 4Q hmmm yeah she really can sing and write her own songs cant she?......not I wonder what she will be doing this time next year? probably appearing in Celebrity? Fitclub apart from that a career in McDonalds looks likeley.
Best - Bjork 'All is Full of Love' Worst - 'Hello' by Lionel Richie, though the new effort from Sam and Mark (cover of "w/ a little help from my friends") comes close.
While I wouldn't be so rude as Mark75, just becuase she's a size 18 doesnt make her a good singer either, which in my opinion was 50% of the reason she won. I happen to think she's pretty bland myself.
Hmmm... I know American country music isn't everyone's cup of tea, but Garth Brooks is one of many "New Country" performers who are successfully stretching the boundaries of their traditional category into something completely different. Check out the original video for his song "The Red Strokes" and tell me you're not totally gobsmacked by its flair, imagination and brilliant originality...
