Even legends should be aware, and gracefully step aside, and avoid this kind of thing -

Little Richard is clearly miming both his playing and his vocals.

Both spellings of the past tense of "sync" are correct.
Having watch Mamy's vid, I can't see anything wrong with it. Looks like a live performance to me.

Honestly though, even it it wasn't, what's the point in dragging up a nigh on 30 year old video of a dead rock legend, performing for a dead sporting legend, to complain about a dodgy lip sync. As someone raised on TOTP, I'm used to dodgy lip syncs.
sanmac “ Both spellings of the past tense of "sync" are correct.” A bit like saying infer and imply mean the same.

Careful users of English would always drop the h in syncing.

Both versions are perfectly fine Allen, however if it makes your day to correct people then carry on.
It was clear to me Mozz that the video was badly cobbled together, that is why I went to look for something more original.
Yep agree that Mamya’s version is fine. Own goal Andy.
Alright, I'll concede that synch is correct in informal writing, but still maintain that sync is preferred by more careful English users.

"however if it makes your day to correct people then carry on"

Bit strong, Mamya?

Unusual for me I guess, so yes - I try hard not to correct except in Crosswords where it matters.
Mamya I'm glad you did find the proper live video but it's strange why Andy's was out of sync, but Little Richard wasn't miming, I don't think he would have any need to mime, in fact I think it would be impossible for him to mime.
Chambers Dictionary states,

"synch or sync colloq noun synchronization, especially of sound and picture in film and television. verb (synched, synching; synced, syncing) to synchronize."

I think it was live anyway.
What is it with copy and pasting on here?????
Mamya. I ONLY correct andy-hughes’ writings, because (a) as a self-proclaimed professional writer he should set the highest standards, and (b) once when I took him to task over confusing infer and imply he became quite irate, telling me his bosses liked what he wrote, so I could mind my own business.

Was looking at these photos yesterday.
Incredible for such a young boy!

Patsy, what has that (rather disturbing) photo got to do with this thread?
Patsy you've also posted what you're having for dinner on an entirely different thread - are you ok (lol).
I used 'synched' first Allen and stand by it as a valid alternative spelling.

In the scheme of things, it's past and doesn't matter.
I'm losing it!
Sorry again folks.
Wrong link.

Why?
That "It's all over" moment ...

Nothing wrong in Mamya’s video, pure showbiz class. All in sink to me (sic)

He should probably stop growing his hair though, a snip wouldn’t go amiss.
