Helping my 80 year-old female neighbour with something the other day, we started chatting about toilet rolls (as you do now), and she said she gets through two rolls a week !
I quickly changed the subject.

not too sure about the length, but surely a decent thickness is required?
We've upped ours from 2 ply to 3 ply, 2 ply being unavailable.
