One didn’t know what TY to get her small daughters friend when we didn’t have the one she would have preferred.

The other swore like a trooper because she forgot to get something from the supermarket.

I know Eleena, I must be few who lets it wash over me as I know what it’s like working in retail at this time of year so I know what these poor folks have to endure. There has been times when you want to strangle some folk though but you really do have to grin and bear it.

Maybe the irate shoppers should come visit our drop in centre on a bad day. Not finding the cards they want will be a doddle compared to stroppy kids on drugs... Then their cards won't seem so important.

I had to collect some ordered food from M&S in a huge shopping mall today and was dreading it so set off an hour early to allow for traffic and queues.
Traffic was far lighter than usual, there were no crowds in the shopping centre and I was home before my allocated time for collection.
Happy day for me.

in Asda at 8.00am today madhouse! all for one day.
couple in front of me their bill came to £278 trolley filled sky high with everything women said to girl on the till there's 5 of us for xmas day hope we have enough!!
i bet loads of it goes in the bin!

Xmas or xmad is a time of pressure for many, so I’d grant them the reason to be unreasonable on this one occasion....along with Boxing Day, January sales, Black Friday etc... lol

Thank you Voltage :) that’s crazy! I mind one Christmas a woman cleared out the bread in Tesco. I pinched 2 loaves off her. People just don’t think of others. Makes me mad.

I understand Pasta. That must be very difficult.

Eventually had 2 meltdowns of my own. One when I got to the bank and realised I’d forgotten the change list and when I had a Hypo.

spa - I’ve done it for 14 years now second nature but I’d happily go back to mad rush for wellies and slippers than this rigt now!

Lovely lass at check-out asked me if I was ready for the big day.

It's weird how people lose their marbles on approaching checkouts - they would pick a fight with a Nun if they thought she was gaining some advantage, like getting ahead when another checkout is opened..
Yet I'm convinced that 100% of them are nice normal people, who once outside would think nothing of changing your flat tyre for you or even running you home to get spare car keys had you lost yours.
