Having watched Alfie Boe in Les Mis in London, I couldn't wait to see him when he came to a local venue. Boy, was that a mistake, absolutely hated him trying to be a pop singer - absolutely cringe worthy. My friend thinks AA is wonderful, one thing we disagree on.
On the contrary, I think Armstrong has a marvelous voice, well suited to this type of material.

But in general, I am not fond of "crossover" music.
I don't think Bryn Terfel did anything to be proud of when he sung some "songs from the shows. I had the misfortune to sit through over an hour of that tosh, live in a concert in Swansea a few years ago.
the Geordie bimbette who needs one of those adapter-tuners to correct her off-tone voice, Cheryl Cole....Aaaaaaagh.
