Love watching Columbo and not sure who is my favourite but loved Kojak, Cagney & Lacy, New Tricks ( original cast members).

Jessica Fletcher, in Murder, She Wrote, is on TV nearly every night just now. She regularly saves the wrongly accused by finding the real killer.

Morse was the cleverest in my opinion, but I loved the Shetland series, Jimmy Perez, and there's a new series in production to which I look forward.
I often wondered why the people of Cabot Cove didn't avoid her like Typhoid Mary. When she was around you'd very likely be murdered or, if not a victim, have you collar felt by the thick local police and be thrown in the slammer.
