I thought you had to be available for work at all times whilst on benefits? I know I was - the 5 months I was unemployed. She is abusing the benefits system. I wish I could afford to go abroad on my pension!
As it is all over the papers I'm sure if she abusing the benefits system, as you say, then the DSS people will be anxious to speak to her when she returns.
Not exactly fair though Sher is it? She is surely getting some income now from appearing in the media and on TV. I can think of several families who would love a little break as they are run off their feet.
Don't know if the rules have changed but if you let DWP know your going on holiday you used to be covered but there again I expect everything was paid for by the paper for the copy.
Ann wait till the bbc sign her up for a million for her own show, the big d show
and who is on your show today d, well we have sicknote steve from leeds and giro pete from luton and a few east europeans who do not know what to claim but i hope to point them in the right direction
pusskin; millions? that's rather a wild claim! Admittedly there are different levels of depression but 'fed up' isn't one of them. Depression is a crippling illness that causes the sufferer to undergo a total personality change; to become uninterested in life in general, to withdraw from the outside world preferring one's own company. Personal hygiene is often affected, meals are missed, housework remains undone. How could anyone with true depression even contemplate holding down a job?
Can't be bothered to read the full article, but you can't really choose when you feel depressed or not.
Granted, she seems to be having a whale of a time, but for every one good day I have, I seem to have three *** ones.... though I haven't been abroad for years! :-)
