Following on from Andy Hughes comments - 10/06/07 - I used to love the Rum Runner reunion nights at the Portland Club around 86, 87 playing Bowie, Roxy, Japan, Divine, Grace Jones...the list goes on...as I was just too young 1st time round. It soon morphed into Dial B For Beauty....DJ Dick ...same music and more...Troublefunk, rare groove, The Clash all mixed together (not mashed up!)...Great Days....

I loved the Rum Runner and even the Tower Ballroom,spent many a great night in both.

I worked behind the bar in the Portland club then. They were great nights
