Watched out of my window last night 5 teenagers walking down the street. Two of them are neighbours' daughters. One mother called her daughter back wagging her finger then she walked into the house. Her daughter walked back to the house and I was able to lipread her calling her mother "f ng b*tch. This mother gives her family everything so is that how you are repaid.

Perhaps she shouldn't give her anything any more - too much is clearly not appreciated.
Teenagers mutter... They say nasty things and some can be unappreciative. While disrespectful, it's not something I'd worry about.

Eh?

good for you china doll if that is your way of thinking but I would have hated any children of mine to call me that. I had a pretty hard time with my own mother but I adored her and never ever would have thought it never mind saying it.
Sqad - An unpleasant teenager muttering about their mother wouldn't induce me to post, so in your words 'no big deal.' I muttered under my breath when I was younger and my mum told me no, I turned out ok. Although admittedly I think 'cow' was the extent of my mutterings.
CD....message received and understood ;-)
do you think you are reading too much into it connemara? you are only guessing thats what she said.
I must admit to going upstairs into my bedroom and muttering all the nasty names and swear words I could muster up. It never did any harm and I would never have called her names to her face. I still do it but it's about Mr LL!!!!!

Was the girl actually talking to her mother or muttering it so her Mum couldn't hear her. There is a world of difference.

fao cazz - I am lipreading from when I was 3 years old as I am deaf.
So did she actually call her mum that to her face, or was it muttered under the breath in typical teen fashion?

Actually, thinking about it, im assuming it was said out loud otherwise the OP wouldn't be able to lip read it?
Bugger Lottie already said it. That'll teach me

<<mutter, mutter, mumble.....>>
You don't need to say something outloud for it to be lip read... My mum wears a hearing aid, it was always best to do your mutterings with your back to her, just in case like... ;0)
fair enough connemara, In my opinion children start out as a blank canvas, you get out what you put in, bad children are almost certainly a result of bad parenting.
My nan could either lip read, or she had 'selective' deafness....
I would have had a clip around the ear if I had said anything to my mother. But then we had respect and I didn't know any swear words.

LOL BOO. Do you mean that you also go upstairs and mutter swear words about Mr BOO.

To be honest, I think the majority of teenagers mutter when their parents stop them doing something. The lady wagged her finger at her errant daughter and the daughter walked back to the house. She obviously did as she was told!! A kid without respect would be likely to give a t wo finger sign and ignore their mother.
Most teenagers go through a stage of thinking their parents are the worse parents in the world because they can't do as they like. In fact they have good parents.
true butch i did say almost certainly. I agree you always get a bad apple in some families. there is normally a reason for it though somewhere deep down
