Can't stand Owen and his moaning partner. Wish they would leave and let Tim and Sally bring up Faye as it seems to be leading up to a romance between them.
Agree with you EllieMay. Owen has a nice side, but basically he is a thug and a bully. Yes it looks like Tim (and I like Tim) and Sally are being matched up.
I recently bought some Birds Eye fish fingers for the first time in probably 15 years. They have shrunk and there seemed to be a definite absence of fish! Last time I will ever buy them.
but lottie, they are supposed to be served with sausages and mash, ergo, not too big or full or anything....
Oh, I see. That makes sense, because they were just batter/breadcrumbs. I can't remember which. I was so disappointed!
I know, and if there is any grey substance inside them vaguely related to fish, it is hard and horrible.
I remember when they were fat and longer and full of nice juicy fish. And I am not looking back on the past with rose coloured spectacles. Was that thin grey stuff in the middle actually fish then, Neti?
Birds Eye fish fingers are rubbish. I buy Youngs for my fish finger butties.........
Are they really good Craft? I shall try them. I must admit Young's stuff is usually good. I only picked out the Birds Eye ones because they were the ones I remembered from my childhood and my son's childhood.
Lottie I have absolutely no idea what the stuff was. I buy Spanish Mercadona's own make (Haciendole), not that any of us eat them very often, hija like them occasionally.
Well I like them Lottie, they're thick enough to spread in a sandwich, I also buy their scampi...........
The birds-eye ad on at the moment, with Sophie, the fussy eater, the first time I saw that I said, in shock, mashed and peas with fish fingers?! Never.
Ugh, mashed is for fish in sauce.
Birds eyes have been grey for quite a few years now :-(

Lottie, youngs fish things are tasty.
This is the 2nd time I've heard of fish finger sandwiches, sorry but I find the idea revolting, no idea why.
I agree Alba, I often buy their other products for quick dinners. Their fish steaks in breadcrumbs or batter are quite acceptable.
I must admit to not fancying fish fingers in sandwiches. My son and his wife often have them at weekends for breakfast. I just wanted them with chips and baked beans and plenty of Heinz Ketchup. My granddad was a greengrocer in a parade of shops and the first shopkeeper in the late 50s to get a freezer cabinet in his shop. He stocked Birds Eye Fish fingers, Birdseye Frozen Peas and a few other things!!
lol neti fish finger sandwiches are popular with quite a few ABers. You've got to have tartare sauce with them as well.
I love tartare sauce!!
When I was undergoing a bundle of painful dental treatment, fish in sauce with mashed was tasty, 6 months of it!

Neti, Mr alba doesn't mind a fish finger sandwich, not to my taste, I've been told by some on here to give it a try as they like it, but I think I'll hold my own counsel thank you :-D
did someone mention scampi?

Scampi, tartare sauce, peas and chips, slurp (excuse my manners)
This is a great thread in the Media section, I wonder what janzman will think of it!!
