Ok so i think most people know the above song by Tracy Chapman but my friend is sure she heard a dance version of it but we've never heard it again. Does anyone know if there is a remix of it out there?

Yes there is a remix around, not by a specific DJ but just a faster version of the original "Fast Car"

There was a new version by some DJ producer either late 2003 or early 2004, but I can't remember the names of DJ or vocalist.

There is a cover version of this due to be released soon by Kristian Leontiou & it's not a bad cover - maybe it's that one.
