Its on know seen it before,its quite good based on a true story,but some of the original story is not quite au fait i think the chappie was from iraq or a country that america had issues with!!!

It's based on The Terminal Man and borrows from that book very briefly. Other than the premise (ie man becomes stateless at airport and becomes a long-term resident there), it's all fiction.

The real airport is Charles de Gaulle, the man is Iranian and became stateless because of a number of mix-ups with his papers and his own refusal to return to Iran.
