I remember years ago, a programme on Tv about some chappie dressed in a Robin Hood outfit, playing a guitar. He went around Europe telling folk stories.

The theme was something like "....in Germany I'm Johan and in England I am John".

Does anyone remember this or what it was called?

Sounds a bit like "The Storyteller", which was a magazine that came with a story tape every week or so and was always being advertised. The song started:

"I'm a storyteller, and my stories must be told..."

It may've been a TV show too but it'a all a bit hazy!

I do remeber it and i am sure i was in my late teens so it was late 70s will think harder!

It was 'Storybook International' and it's now available on DVD!

You just beat me to it BergmanMan ;0)

Luckily I ordered it from DVD Pacific when it was a customs-friendly price, however now the price has gone up. On the DVD though they have re-done the main song with someone else singing it, and the lyrics 'In England I am John' have been changed to 'In America I'm John'. A bit annoying but at least it's finally available to watch again.
