Kemi Badenoch has been told she is walking on very very thin ice after becoming embroiled in the spat with the former chair of the Post Office. After calling him a liar.   This comes after Badenoch is facing further scrutiny after saying trade talks were still going on between Canada and the UK and they are not.

Who has told her'? Hymie's mate Phil? At least Hymie provides links.

Badenoch is also facing criticism that she failed to meet a single  LGBTQ Group during her time as Equalities minister despite telling MPs she had engaged extensively with the organisations.

Her leadership is now being questioned by fellow Mps. Is this time for another Tory MP to bite the dust and apply for her severance pay.

This confrontation between Badenoch and Staunton was mentioned at PMQs. But Sunak sidestepped the question in true Tory fashion.

Do you have a link to and artice saying this Gulliver

I think it would be funny if we all kept away from these threads and just watched gulliver talk to himself trying to provoke a response.

But Sunak sidestepped the question in true Tory fashion.

slippery customers these tories

the prospect that a minister has been lying in parliament is a serious one; I don't know why it should just be ignored because you don't like the messenger, newmodarmy.

Though I notice that most of the site's hardline Tories have gone into hiding.

Personally, I can't think what Badenoch was up to. Staunton said he'd taken notes; she should have been very sure indeed of her grounds before calling him a liar. After all, it's not even her own name she was defending, she wasn't in the job at the time, so she could just have kept her mouth shut.

Nma 18.28,The choice is all yours newmod ..take it or leave it

mods certainly cant leave gullz thread alone and instead 'improve' them.

why cant we have a post - "the mods want you to say X - if you dont, easy, the choice is yours"

I would  agree jno if it had been established that badenoch had lied to parliament. But gulliver has not put any evidence forward to show that that is the case. It could be just wishful thinking or deliberately mischief making for all we know.

But still find it amusing that sometimes gulliver has to keep adding answers to his own threads in an attempt to keep them going , although niceteacake can often be relied upon to help out . Just some sort of link proof would make gulliver's posts more weighty.

That lefty 5C outfit (The Financial Times) has something to say on the subject of Canadian trade talks (that don’t exist).

she does seem to be making stuff up as she goes.

Sounds as if "blessed are the cheesemakers" no longer applies!

Nma 21.39 I also find you amusing I quite often ROFL at most of your replies.

Here’s my mate Phil’s latest thoughts on the subject of Badenoch Vs Staunton.

Her and Suella will probably be fighting it out for the Tory leadership after the election. What a prospect.

'She is also facing questions over her role as Equalities Minister after former Labour cabinet minister Ben Bradshaw cast doubts over claims about meeting LGBT groups.

Mr Bradshaw said: “In December, the Cabinet Minister for Equalities told this House that she had engaged, and I quote, ‘extensively’ with LGBT organisations since her appointment 18 months ago.

“A Freedom of Information answer published this week reveals that in fact the minister hasn’t met a single LGBT organisation, but has met two fringe groups that actively campaign against transgender rights. What is the problem the Prime Minister, and a section of his party, have with trans people, and his Equalities Minister has with the truth?”'

Buggins Turn is alive and well, hang about long enough and a brass neck will get you in.

I guess they'll hang on with the wee man in the interim though.
