Does Carol Vorderman think we can't tell her boat has been lifted? It's like her smile has been glued in that position.

Speaking in tongues again TTT?

I've gone right off her.

Question Author

If you can't understand maggie then it's probably not for you.

How pompous

I'm pretty sure, given her very obvious Kardashian body work, she wouldn't deny having her fizzog done as well.

Question Author

Maggie likes to pretend she doesn't understand rhyming slang to make some sort of point. It has been explained many times.

TTT are you actually a cockney?  If so, you are very much in the minority on this site and you should show some respect to others. Is it so difficult to use proper English?

Question Author

No I'm not a cockney. Je ne suis pas français non plus, mais j'aime les langues et l'argot.

This faux-misunderstanding of TTT's slang just makes people look silly.

Boat is widely understood to mean face, and given the context even those who genuinely don't understand would know.

I often don't have a clue what you're saying TTT - but one who is known to ramble in Scottish gobbledegook has no room to complain.  Perhaps you should all make an effort to be courteous enough to speak English.

As a Yorkshireman I understand 90% of Tora's posts. It is English, just a quirky regional version of it.

Yorkshire men are a bit special.

I stopped watching HIGNFY years ago shortly after Angus was sacked. I have seen Carol on other things though but never really noticed to be honest.

The confusion may be because the fragrant Carol has recently had her cabin cruiser debarnacled. :-)

13.58 I didn't know she had a pub!

I didn't know 'boat' means face.  We say fizzog here

Boat-Race, Face

When I hear 'boat', race doesn't come to mind.

I wouldn't have normally just heard it before.

Every day's a school day.  I won't be using it, though. I'm not a Cockney so it would be cultural appropriation 😂

For those not familiar with the slang `boat` for face, they'd be better off not knowing what Harry on the boat means. :)
