Good film plots , but ending is not convincing .

Surely the mob guy (Robert Shaw ) would soon have word from the street that what happened in the bookies was a fix and would go gunning for the people involved - no ?

It's a film - that's called poetic license.
nah, the pleasure of it is he thinks it's his fault for misunderstanding.
The Scott Joplin music in it is very good
Actually jno, you are absolutely right.

Lonnegan would put his experience down to simple bad luck, and move on.
The brilliance of the sting was that the victim didn't know he'd been stung.
It's entertainment, you can pick apart any film.
After the Sting he couldn’t get the Police could he . Sorry
If it's got Robert Redford and Paul Newman in it, I don't care what the ending is. :-)
It's the only film I'ver seen at the cinema where the audience all cheered at the end!
