How many will watch it?

We have not watched for many years. I must admit I will this year because I love our song, and really have taken a shine to Sam Ryder. He's gorgeous :o) and with a great voice and a clever songwriter.

UK wins the so-called “political” jury vote

Who’d have thunk it?
Wonderful result.
Kalush and Sam top two
How very predictable. Ukraine song was rubbish.
It really was! Utter dross...
I quite like it. Its catchy.

Although well done to Sam who was the real winner :o)
^^^ Although it wasn't my favourite song, Dave and Jim, I thought that it blended some beautiful folk music together with some perfectly acceptable rap rather well.
Ha ha you’ll never see the bright sign of anything

Yes Sam Ryder is a star
Living outside UK I didn't have the chance to watch last nights circus. But being curious I thought I'd have a look at UK's entry ' spaceman' well to say I wasn't overly impressed is an understatement. Just as I was about to stop watching he started to pretend to play guitar!! How cheesy was that? Now I'm going to check out the winner
Just watched the winning entry, imho it wasnt just better than Sam Ryder's, it was a lot better. If UK's was 2nd it must've been a terrible Eurovision.

I thought most of the songs were totally forgettable, or dreadful in a couple of cases. Mika did well with his performance. The presentation was dire.
To be honest I really think the whole thing was a load of crap. I think the result was correct. But as in the OP, I love Sam, his song and his voice. I was glad that Ukraine won,but not because of their entry. It shows the support of most Europeans.
i always watch Eurovision and we came out the best being second as we dont have to spend money on hosting next years that said Ukraine had a belling song and ours was equally belting but of course there would be a sympathy vote for Ukraine but well deserved anyway
one thing this year i thought the staging was WAY over the top with lighting and flashing lights not enough background images or scenery like other years .pretty boring actually
ps i liked the swiss song
I wonder how much the UK's success has to do with the new "European political community" invite. Showing the UK how much it is liked by the rest of Europe.
>>> Living outside UK I didn't have the chance to watch last nights circus.

Eh? It was on RTVE in Spain.

>>> Just as I was about to stop watching he started to pretend to play guitar!! How cheesy was that?

Of course he pretended. ALL on-stage instrument playing in the competition is ALWAYS mimed:

Congratulations Ukraine.
For years now, its always been seen to be political. Last night proved it. But this time round I don't have a problem in it being so.
I don’t see it as a political vote, just an outpouring of support for the Ukrainian people. I don’t begrudge them a little something to celebrate and a song to sing at a time like this.
Ok then, support for a political crisis. :)
