There's nothing like a Bash-Greta thread for getting all the Deniers out bullying and insulting the little girl. Shame on you all.
Not bashing her, but have no interest in her at all. She has nothing to say that others haven't already said and don't like her rude attitude. A spoilt child.
People get shirty about it because they think they’re being blamed personally for global warming :-)
You’ve only got to look at the pictures of the the icecaps melting, and vast bits of Antarctica collapsing into the sea to realise there’s an issue. We probably have the technology to deal with it to an extent so it would, you know, be criminal to ignore it.
Politicians sadly have to tread carefully because if the issue deferred to above.
But ultimately it’s science that is the big hope
Let's be honest Canary, the people who love to bash Greta did the same when she was 15, they're not going to stop three years on.

I do still like how the OP considers a three episode show to be the BBC "banging on about climate change". Heaven knows what reaction a full series would have.
Must admit though, ichkeria, that I would rather watch Greta than Ant and Dec.
How can Greta be bullied on AB?

In his little mind? ... Note this "little girl" is 18. She looks a bit "cabbage patch" granted. I once contacted her "support team" and asked what caused the end of the ice age. Was it mankind or something else I asked. No answer yet, so it was the wrong question obvs.
“ Must admit though, ichkeria, that I would rather watch Greta than Ant and Dec.”

Lol yes I can understand that!
I’d rather listen to the complete speeches of Nigel Farage than those two :-)
Togo, another one they go quiet on:-
Why was the earth warmer in Roman Times?
after a lifetime of watching programmes like Life on earth and all that followed i have learned many things maggie, just because i don't want to want to watch Greta doesn't mean im an idiot. PLease if you want to watch it then fine sticky, but stop the lecturing, its not helpful.
Odd that this series on exactly the same night as GT’s programme was not worthy of being pilloried

did you watch it after all?
I blame Nero, torching all those Christians must have added a lot of CO2 at the time.
Ichkeria, from your article refuting the Roman warming:-

Professor Rob Wilson says: "the Sun has almost no detectable attributed impact on climate,"

Well nothing to worry about there then if the sun goes out we'll still stay nice and warm.
The doom mongers also discount out of hand any effect on Earth's climate could be affected whatsoever by the Milankovitch cycle orbital path around the Sun.
I do wonder then what is causing the polar ice caps to melt and sea levels rising by the decade
Attenborough, Thunberg or Adepitane, does it really matter who is pointing out the writing in the wall?
//does it really matter who is pointing out the writing in the wall?//

Yes, I think it does. I find watching a hysterical teenager with health issues and an obsession very uncomfortable indeed. It all seems very unhealthy to me.

Greta would be better employed rallying people, particular young people, to collect plastic and other harmful waste from our hedgerows and beaches. That really would do some good.

Just as a point of interest I was watching Michael Portillo in Alaska. His guide book noted that the ice was melting at an alarming rate, but since the book was published in the 19th century, before the advent of major industry, that couldn’t possibly have been as a result of human activity.
I`d love to but I have some paint to watch drying.
i confess that i didn't watch, in much the same way that i have given up watching a lot of tv, too depressing, perhaps i am ducking the issue of climate change, covid 19, and the rest but surely we could have a little bit of good news for a change. I can't watch many nature programmes nowadays because it inevitably means one animal hunting and killing another. I know that's nature in the wild but i don't need to see it constantly on the box.
