Hey peeps I dont usually get all political but..... hehe always a but. If you look at these statistics

https://www.ons.gov.uk/aboutus/transparencyandgovernance/freedomofinformationfoi/totaldeathsin2019and2020sofarintheuk

Isnt this proof there is no pandemic? I understand that with lockdowns etc there will be less traffic accidents etc etc but also there are more deaths from diseases such as cancer etc because of the lack of treatment.

Anyhoo maybe I am wrong but what is all the commotion about when there is no significant increase in deaths?

If you look at the BBC they are saying hospitals are over run yet look at this lady's video the hospital is empty and she ended up getting arrested https://twitter.com/ninnyd101/status/1343527984976842752?s=19

Why are we being spoon fed fear and why does a bit of very basic research show this all to be not as we think?

I also know a lady with late stage lung, liver and cervical cancer die , get covid put on the death cert as well as one lady who died of dimetia.

None of it makes sense to me why does everything g contradict what is being pushed by the TV news?

It is that there are a number of people in the figures who have really died of other causes. Within 28 days of a positive test. That is stated at almost every briefing. Yes it quite stupidly includes deaths due to road accidents, cancer, heart disease and everything else. The time to be sure is when those figures are corrected, after a lot of staff examine the data...

"The alternative would be to do a post mortem to ascertain the exact cause of death and to find out if Covid was the culprit. That should cost a few billion £ and achieve nothing."

Now THAT would slot seamlessly into current efforts and be every bit as effective.
People need to be scared into compliance otherwise things might be a bit worse, possibly not much but a bit worse.
Trouble is, Bob, some people actually believe stuff like that.

Some people actually believe that Bill Gates is behind the virus so he could sell the vaccine. Crazy! Especially considering how much of his wealth he donates to charity.
If you are to be believed, why are they moving patients from hospitals in Kent to hospitals in Bristol and Plymouth? I have many friends who work for the NHS, some of whom work in ITU. They are exhausted!

You also say "Why are we being spoon fed fear and why does a bit of very basic research show this all to be not as we think?

Like many people, you trawl the internet for something and believe the first thing you see.

The lady who took the video is as silly as you in my opinion and you fail to say what she was arrested for.
Your sarcasm can be funny douglas but it would be intresting to see a positive suggestion from you sometimes
Am thinking that was tomuses point ummmm, a refrence to UK anonymous being petrified of the vaccinne
Here you go bob, one day this will all be over and we can have a parade.
The OP has always tended towards being credulous when it comes to conspiracy theories about things.

Any 'basic research' using sensible, empirical evidence will show that we *are* in the grip of a pandemic even if the tin-foil-hatters are turning themselves inside out to prove otherwise.
MAABOF!
...and the earth is definitely flat.
I thought it was 5G?
//And why would Bill Gates be interested in that?//

He wouldn't, but I suppose I should have known better than to attempt the joke. As you say, there are eejits out there that actually believe this kind of ***, and I could well have been one of them.
The latest data for deaths in England & Wales (to week ending 18.12.20) show a further 62,597 to be added to the 2020 total in the FOI response.
That's the problem. I've laughed at people thinking they are being sarcastic before realising they're actually bloody serious.

God help me.

I must say that when people start insinuating I am a dumb conspiracy theorist I do tend to turn off. You must question everything or it ends up like all the horrific regimes around the world in the past or present. And gosh let's not forget Tony Mare and his weapons of mass destruction. Imagine if one of us was born there and had our families killed. Asbestos, Thalidomide..

Rowanwhich thank you for the answer its actually the only one that makes any sense to me or maybe it was because you answered it respectfully at least hehe

By all means feel free to ask questions. But pay attention to the answers. In this case, the answer is that you are simply wrong in asserting that the stats are, or could be, "proof" that there is no pandemic. Quite the opposite: it makes clear that there were huge rises in mortality rate in March-May, and there has been a notable excess since around the end of October.

I paid attention to rowanwitch's answer :) it did point our some things I never considered
"You must question everything or it ends up like all the horrific regimes around the world in the past or present. " - yes question things but look at the data, the evidence before your eyes ask yourself further questions. Don't just jump on the conspiracy theory bandwagon without thinking it through. Occam's Razor: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occam%27s_razor
That's fine, but the answer had already existed in one form or another for months. In that case what I'm saying is that your "very basic research" was too basic, and managed to miss the truth.

It does depend on your interpretation of 'pandemic' though. Yes many getting ill but its not a really big killer is it? With a few exceptions it mainly takes people above the average age, couple this with dodgy predictions and lack of clarity, lack of transparency and u-turns everywhere opens up for conspitisory theories. Counting deaths within 28 days doesnt help either.
