As usual, in the trailers for this programme, ITV has spoiled it for everyone. They show JC shouting, “you’ve just won a million pounds.”

If you made a note of the colour of his shirt when he says it, there’s no need to watch that episode. Just check in at the beginning then go and watch something else .

It wouldn't make any difference to me. I don't care whether someone wins £1 or £1 million. The fun is trying to answer the questions myself and seeing how far I'd have gone, and I also enjoy watching their strategies for choosing an answer and their reactions

Yes me too ff, but it just annoys me that this happens so often.
I clearly don't pay as much attention as you do to his shirts, chrissa. Maybe I spend too much time listening for coughs or looking for signals from accomplices in the audience

:)) :))
Not that often, it's been 14 years since the last millionaire was created.
Wouldn't that be specially filmed as part of the trailer Chrissa?
Yes Mamya and that wouldn't have been JC.
I would be willing to bet that it's shown on the last night. Clarkson revealed that there had been a winner a couple of weeks before the trailers started. His own lack of knowledge tends to surprise me, not just tonight but generally

It's in the press too, I'm sure you're right.
I prefer Jeremy to Chris
Alternatively, no one's won the milllion, an it's just a specially filmed clip to entice people in. I don't watch it. I'm not much of a fan of ol' Slugger Clarkson.
I do

I watched the US version once when I was there. It was dreadful. The compere just rattled through the questions, no sense of pacing or building up tension; it looked as if he was being paid by the question.
every program is pre spoilt these days, I don't know why but it's the in thing.
Question Author
I agree TTT.

Mamya, I wasn’t talking about Millionaire but “spoilers” in general.

The dreaded words.... “coming up.”
every show, does my loaf in!
Question Author
Couldn’t agree more, TTT.
Yes, they even do the dreaded 'coming up' thing at the beginning of Antiques Roadshow - I don't want to know in advance!
Question Author
GRRRRRR!!!
Ah yes, the dreaded 'coming up' I whizz past those usually - painful.
