I must get some food in for Tiggy, in case he wakes up in this milder weather. He hasn't yet.

not as lot on for today. I could get used to this! :o}

Good morning all .Raining quite heavy outside but forecast say clearing for 5.30 hope so then its walkies .Dont like setting out when it's raining but if it rains while I'm out just one of those things .Enjoy you day .

Morning wee. Dry here at the moment. I don't know what's in store yet, I haven't been outside.

Work Go to town ,speculate to accumulate back to work ,will be sorted at work about 10 tonight

A long day. I don't miss those at all. However; I still often have long days doing things for the hospice etc. but that is always enjoyable.

Start at seven ,this is a long day but most days quit a 6.30 back and forward to work but tied to it it really .cant complain it brings in the coupons at the end of the months ..Deciding when to leave and take it easier been working nearly 50 years .

It has to have some benefits mate. the time will come when it's prudent to jack it all in. The next morning you'll think 'What shall I do today?' ;o}

Yeah I'm sure there will be days like that .Think I'm lucky in that I do adapt to change and wil hopefully always think it was best for you at the time and you made the decision on that basis .

Can't argue with that. It's also a certain lovely lady on here's birthday!

is Tiggy a tortoise ? or a hedge hog ?

Tiggy is a hedgehog. He's the third generation to live here. His mum and grandmum lived in the old wooden shed. That's been replaced with a plastic coated steel one, so I made a wee house for him and put it under bushes in the garden where it's out of the wind and weather. That got named Tiggy Towers.
He loves it. All nice and snug he is.

mornng boaty - god I am truly exhuasted with no sleep - it just wouldn't come - in and out the bed - then the bed is crumpled - then you make the bed - then you go down for a milk drink = but to no avail.

I know you survive onlittle sleep WBM - but how do you do it. All my life I did like my sleep.

You know WBM - i got the forms to help the hospice fairly nearly me and when it came to filling them in I was too afraid. My hairdresser volunteers for them every wednesday and she loves it.

Me, WBM I think it would make me upset that a person one is alive one week and not there not the following week - it would upset me too much emotionally,

Morning conne xxx I have no idea my lovely. I can go to bed early and read for hours, but once I'm awake in the morning I have to get up. Just can't lie in. It's just the way my body works. I would really love a lie in! You have something on your mind that's keeping you awake?

I understand you there conne. Longfield hospice is not residential. They have a Hospice at home service, where a dedicated nurse, matched to the family, will stay with them in the final couple of weeks, indeed stay with them in their home if required. That way the end of life is in the place they want to be, with their loved ones around them. It works very well. It is expensive, but worth every penny to make it a peaceful end.
