I am not looking to all the football coverage during world cup. football is not my thing but looking at tv schedules it is going to be difficult to avoid it , might have to take the dog out more because no doubt OH will be glued to tv.

Gives me an opportunity to dig out all those DVDs I've bought in the past, but never got around to watching. Thank goodness I got those bargain boxed sets when I did.

I love it and can't wait for it to start. It only happens once every four years (unlike nonsense like BGT, I'm a celebrity, X factor etc which seem to be on continually) and it will be fantastic to actually have something to watch at night for a change. Three live matches a day? Bring it on!

The West Wing and all my Nordic cop shows will come to the fore. I had expected that all the matches would be late night given the time difference but they seem to be playing all day, d@@n them.
