I am not looking to all the football coverage during world cup. football is not my thing but looking at tv schedules it is going to be difficult to avoid it , might have to take the dog out more because no doubt OH will be glued to tv.

No you're definitely NOT alone!!
No interest from me either, can't wait for the Tour de France to start though!
It's only once every 4 years for gawds sake......
Ditto Frank, I have every faith that the good people from the Central Republic of Yorkshire will put on a great show for the start of the worlds greatest endurance event.
That depends Chilldoubt, football dominates the telly in this house. I'd rather he *** off round the pub and watch it.
you could always try the tennis ...
I have no great interest in watching the Football, but I have many other things to do so don't begrudge it for those who love it.
Use it to your advantage......

Buy what you want, go where you want, do what you want and then convince him that you mentioned it to him and he agreed.....:D

And if you can say, with added emphasis, we discussed it during the (e.g) Brazil v Croatia game.....all the better. LoL

If it were Rugby I wouldn't miss it, but football, I wouldn't turn my head to see a match, too many overpaid Prima Donnas!
I really don't appreciate the dominance that football has on our TV schedules fortunately Mr Cake is not a fan.....he has other sporting interests that can at least be fast forwarded through!

I do feel that the TV schedulers just give up during these periods and don't 'waste' money on quality TV. It's annoying and I just hope my digibox is well stocked for the coming weeks.
There can't be many homes with only 1 TV?
I am not a football fan, but the present Mrs Hughes is a fanatic and will be glued to it. My pleas for a bigger TV when we moved house were ignored until the last World Cup when a couple of new flatscreens made their way into our lounge and bedroom!

However, she loves it, and I also have other things to do, so no problem at all - plus we are away for ten days at the end of the month, so I am busy working, and she is welcome to watch footie if she can find it in Montreal.
better with the sound off

Ditto soaps, 7 days a week with omibus editions galore.
Omnibus, even.....
I don't watch soaps either but had thought the omnibus versions had been put on at obscure hours of the day as it was assumed that 'everyone' had access to a recording or demand facility.
I'm not bothered about football. When it's on I do other things. I'll be watching the tennis.
I'm lucky...I live in a sports free zone...neither mr.c nor I like sport. I may watch a little tennis though!
God bless Sky...there is no sport whatsoever in this house !
Not even sky sports...
