/// He said: "If more men were homosexual, there would be no wars, because homosexual men would never kill other men, whereas heterosexual men love killing other men. ///

Perhaps Mr Morrissey should conduct a little research, before making such wild and brash statements?

Based on your quote the guy seems to have a screw loose.
There was always the old chestnut that there wouldn't be any wars if a woman was in charge too.
b ut there was with maggie thatcher
..........
I agree Boo, and handbags arent half as dangerous as guns and bombs!!
Can you imagine Alan Carr leading his troops to the front line. LOL
SirP, that so cracked me up! Flanked (ooer!) by Graham Norton?
lol with his glasses on a chord
Does anyone take anything Morrissey says seriously nowadays? He has become a caricature - a strange combination of grumpy old man and right on rock idol...
//If more men were homosexual//

... there would be more great bars and clubs around.
I don't even know why anybody acknowledges a word that comes out of this blokes face.
I am currently watching a series about World War 1 that was on one of the documentary channels a few weeks ago (I recorded it).

The opening couple of programs were about the build up to the war, and you do realise it was all about "power" and "success" and "might" and a certain amount of male posturing.

Male leaders in flashy gaudy uniforms, riding around on horseback and trying to prove their country was better and stronger than another country.

Germany jealous of Britian's Empire and wanting one of its own. Willing to go to war to destroy the British Empire (which in itelf was gained by power and might over often defencless nations).

"Empires" like Turkey, Russia, Austria/Hungary, Germany, Britain etc, all wanting to be bigger and more powerful than each other, and all driven by men.

So while I dont agree totally with Morrissey (who I have always thought of as a bit of a tw*t) he does have a point that almost all wars are started by men who want more power or position or money in their life.
Boys and their toys! Afraid there will always be wars no matter how many homosexual men are around. Mind, they are great, loyal friends and I always feel safe with mine.
I know the argument has been made before that, for example, the world would be a safer place, with less wars etc, if women ran it.

Seems to me Morrissey is labouring under the delusion that all homosexual men are women in mans body.

Homosexuals have served in military forces around the world for centuries, and seem to have had little problem in killing people just as efficiently as their heterosexual counterparts....
This from a man who is not only an irredeemable pudding, but who denied his own sexuality for years, only to finally come out and write lyrics/doggerel like "Explosive kegs between my legs".

As said earlier, why does anyone give him any creedence at all?
There would still be wars but about different things.
Hang on Morrissey ...

Lord Kitchener
Bernard Montgomery
Sir Douglas Haig
Louis Mountbatten
T E Lawrence

all did their share of sending people into war and indeed saw a bit themselves

Alexander the great. He started a few wars.
