/// He said: "If more men were homosexual, there would be no wars, because homosexual men would never kill other men, whereas heterosexual men love killing other men. ///
Perhaps Mr Morrissey should conduct a little research, before making such wild and brash statements?

Are you seriously giving credence to Mr Morrissey's musings?
Do you think that pulling figures about gay serial killers somehow supports the argument that gays don't kill?
That's an extreme reaction. If someone said, "Women don't rape men", I'm sure you could find instances where that has happened, but it would be statistically irrelevent.
A more potent argument is that gay men and lesbians have found for years to serve their country in the US, and as others have pointed out - many leading military figures have been gay.
However, if Morrissey had stated that gay men and lesbians are less prone to physical violence, I would say he might have a point - but that's based on personal observation.
There was a study carried out by the University of East London a few years ago, which concluded that:
"...gay men are no less aggressive than straight men, but tend to vent their aggression verbally rather than physically. It also indicates that homosexual men are likely to have higher levels of empathy than heterosexuals."
However, the same size was small. There were only 182 people in the study.

/// he does have a point that almost all wars are started by men who want more power or position or money in their life. ///
And 'egged on' by women it seems, since if you are interested in WW1 you wouldn't have failed to notice how some men who didn't wear a uniform were attacked and insulted as cowards.
'White Feather' and all that.

In debate if someone makes a statement then one is perfectly free to produce figures or facts opposing that statement, just as some on AB have chosen to produce evidence of famous gay military figures to also oppose Morrissey's statement.

//I didn't realise there were so many gays in today's RAF, weren't in my day//
I don't think the number of gays has increased over the years. Without sounding insulting (because I don't know when "your day" was), homosexuality was illegal so of course very few would admit to being gay.
My late uncle was in WWII and I remember him saying everyone knew who the "nancy boys" were.
Nothing changes
