I think feeling young is a frame of mind, the physical body often reminds us that we are indeed getting older on a regular basis.

I think rh would like to see us 'laid to rest'..lol
we are Albi, we are :-0)
Redhelen. I take it you are a young thing. Nothing like rubbing an older persons nose in it. You'll be using the word coffin dodger next. Not nice.
50 is the new 40 so that makes 60 the new 50. When you see photos/footage of 30 something women 50 years ago they looked 20 years older. Now is as good as time as any to be 60+
You're the age you are.

you (or me, or anyone) might not feel our age, but lets not kid ourselves, to others, especially younger folk- we look our ages :-)

I agree boo..

Not really. I didn't look the way I do now twenty years ago and don't expect to look like I do now in twenty years time. Ageing is a physical thing. And with the possibilty of the onset of osteo arthritis I certainly don't feel how I did twenty years ago!
Very much so, bobbi. I was mortified when I turned 30 but I am soon to be 35. I have almost given up caring except for the fact that I really want to be a mum before too much longer.

I went to a party last night and got talking to an student of 18 in smokers corner. The whole age convo cropped up and I was chuffed at her remarks about me not looking my age.

Never mind bobbi, there's always a gig at customer service at B&Q helping those young, thrusting, well heeled and clueless youngsters select the proper butter knife to use when replacing a fuse. :)
My daughter went surfing with a group last weekend, of the first two to actually stand up on the board one was well over 60.
Book THAT Danno!
I'm sure you look wonderful for your age Bobbs, in fact ive seen your pictures, and you do indeed do look good....but the key words are "for your age" here. I'm 41, sometimes feel like im 21, but sadly, logic tells me, to anyone else, i look like what I am- middle aged.
