barry - no. I think the landline is smart because it lets me talk to other people. Does that help?
btw that was working but no wifi. next door didn't have mainline but had wifi.

If it's Open Reach...well. If you are on BT then there are their Hotspots to latch on to - no extra on your account. I used them right up to the day before yesterday when the new socket was fitted and now am running at 50MB/sec, so not bad - or were there no hotspots as well chez toi?
