My nephew started working as a driver at the Olympic this morning. He volunteered to do three weeks. Luckily he can stay with my son when he is over there. He is a partner in an accountancy firm so was able to take the time off but I wonder how all the other volunteers manage to get time off.

I reckon they expect a lot of unemployed or retired people to volunteer for this sort of thing.

I hadn't thought about that. Volunteering is great for the pensioners and even unemployed as howard says but if you don't live locally you're stumped.
