ideas for a pond?

We have a very large pond already in our garden (15metres by 10metres), but its just a rectangle with stone edges - very bland and boring, however the liner is leaking so we are going to have to empty it and re line it which means removing all the stones from the edges. I am reluctant to put it back the same way and as looking for some ideas on how to make it look more attractive. Its 8 foot deep and there is a garden border on one edge, patio on another. a small decked area on one end with the tanks and pumps etc beneath and the path at the other end. Anyone got any ideas or can you direct me to any inspiring websites? Many thanks

Wow that's a big pond!

Well some ideas, if you slope some of it gently into the rest of the garden with soil over pond liner you can create a bog area and grow marginals. Plants like Gunnera mantica love that sort of thing and produce leaves up to 6 feet across which would fit in well with such a large pond.

If the ponds having such work done you could think about a jetty a bit like this:

Or even a hut in the middle with a drawbridge you could pull up and go and hide yourself away in?

Waterfalls are a favorite, you might have to add some height if it's very flat but it sounds as if you're pumping a lot of water anyway so diverting some of it to add some motion might help.
