Stainless Steel Bath

We're getting a new bathroom in - we went to order it at the weekend and the boy at B & Q was horrified that we wanted a stainless steel bath. We have a downstairs bathroom and the plumber & joiner had both told us that there would be less movement with a stainless steel bath than with an acrylic bath. We know it would need to be earthed, but we're having new electrics in the bathroom anyway, and a new floor, so it won't be too much of a problem. My mother-in-law has a ssb and says there's no problem that she's aware of. We only use the bath as a bath a few times a year but don't want a shower cubicle, and there's no room for a showerbath. Has anyone out there any opinions on an ssb? Thanks for your help.....

Hi Vinny, thanks for that - and is your bath okay? Nothing scary about it? Does it move much?

Thanks to you too beryllium- and at least now I know we're not freaky! A steel bath it is. Cheers.
misky, why was the boy in b&q horrified? is he like my son who is allergic to water? does he have a phobia about baths and sinks? (if he does get him tranfered to the decking dept. then deck him!! )
i would have been horified if you asked for a jelly bath but that's a differnt story !

It was weird to watch Markja! You know that thing car mechanics and washing-machine men do, where they suck the air in through their teeth - he started with that..... I think if we do get one from there, and he's serving, I'll take a bottle of water in for him and some smelling salts.
