Hi all!
We have looked around for designs or ideas on the internet to make a small ish waterwheel for our fishpond. The aim is to have the filter box thing (yes I am very technically minded!) hidden underneath a box building we will make and have underneath where the water comes back out into the pond a water wheel. So it will be quite small.
My husband has been working on a few ideas but unfortunatly the designs he has made won't turn enough with the flow of water. He's made it out of offcuts of wood and even a plastic bucket (!)

He will crack it eventually, but it's time and money we lack so any ideas from other ABers would be greatfully received and maybe any feedback from anyone who has made their own!!

Many thanx :o)

Thanx Trim, that looks quite cute lol I will show him tonight, hoping he will get some inspiration on what to do :o)
Looking up 'pond water wheel' in Google might provide your husband with some further ideas. The pulley wheel on Trimmy's example is rather curious. I wonder what it's designed to drive?!!
is hubby using over / or under spun type of water wheel - they have massive difference in efficifiency
