The last couple of times I’ve used blinds2go Bazile. They are very reasonably priced and good quality. You can order samples to look at first too. They provide a comprehensive guide on how to measure for where you want them, you send those measurements and within a week or so the blind arrives. They have easy to follow fitting instructions and my husband said it was really easy to fit. I’ve had a couple and my son’s had a couple and we’ve been very pleased with them.
Not recently but very pleased with ones from John Lewis
I have and had them measured and fitted. It's a local company though so no use posting this really.

Although, if the company measure and fit, then any mistakes are their responsibility.
Bought Venetian blinds and fitted them myself. Simples!
I too would be interested in experiences recorded here please. Must include fitting as I tried and failed on the window I want them for.
Has anyone experience of Hillary's who bombard me with junk mail frequently ?
Hillary's are twice as expensive as most other places. Their advertising has to be paid for somehow.

I've used a couple of suppliers over the years. The last I used was this one:

Excellent service. I've used them twice. The first time was for ordinary roller blinds, made to my measurements. Delivered in about five days, fitted perfectly and easily. The last time was for "Velux" window blinds. These were a standard size and were delivered in two days.

Did you have them fitted by the same company ?
//Did you have them fitted by the same company ?//

No. Fitted them myself. Piece of cake. Two holes required at the top of each side of the frame. If you cannot manage that yourself any competent "odd job" person will be able to do it for you. Approximate time for one blind is 10-15 minutes max.
o god if my neighbours wish to see me flaunting my woo-woo ( o that is a big one!) that is up to them
If they dont: dont look

I find they get in the way of seeing who is hitting whom outside in the street
keying the car, late for work etc

The reason i asked is that we have just had new double glazed windows installed .

i'm not sure if i wanted to drill holes in the window frames myself.

however if that's all there is to it , i'll have a go
/// Two holes required at the top of each side of the frame [...] any competent "odd job" person will be able to do it... ///

That's where I came unstuck, hitting reinforced concrete lintel (or perhaps RSJ) after a few millimetres of plaster, and I and/or my equipment just couldn't handle it. Which is why I'm interested in getting it fitted.
No Bazile, you have to fit them yourself but as I said it’s very straightforward.
