40 years ago I bought a Breville toasted sandwich maker. What a waste of time, space and money. Used it three times then it got binned.

actually, we had a George Foreman grill (110Volts) and left it out in the garbage in Holland, this legit territory for those to retrieve things in the name of recycling. Some Turks took this...and we had visions of a major flat explosion somewhere in the depths of Rotterdam as Foreman went bang big time on 220Volts.
egg boiler - tried it once and it is now at the back of shelves
^^^^ electric boiler
Quicker to use a saucepan.
I know, DTC. You'll miss her when she's gone.

Do you mean a saucepan, Jenny?
I was thinking of nominating the electric chair that I bought from Huntsville - (i) its 110 volts - like the Foreman grill and (ii) I haven't found anyone who will try it out - yet.
I had a egg boiler as well. You had to pierce all the eggs.
SodaStream and every gadget by JML, totally useless and they don't last long.
...After some thought..the electric carving knife ! Terrified me
not much different to the Texas chair, minty.....and as damaging.
Ice cream maker - bought after watching too many episodes of ‘come dine with me’
No it was an electric egg boiler - think it holds 6 eggs - now I only eat one. Yes you had to carefully prick the shell but Jack have recently purchased a new sandwich maker. They are nice now and again (sandwiches)
One of those hand held sewing machine things bough it at a car boot sale brought it back and gave the woman a pound with it to take it back .
Has your toastie maker arrived jj?
Mine was a black and decker drill set with different attachments - so many bits needed changing to swap from a jigwasw to a circular saw etc and every attachment was rubbish at its job.
Square egg maker
For me it was a huge bulky juicer...never used it, let alone take it out of the packaging. Also a George Forman grill...seemed to boil rather than grill...and a pain to clean.
oh yes Toorak - click and collect from my local Argos - still in its box - haven't even looked at it.
I liked my George Foreman - it was good for the sandwiches but realised it flattened the bread too much which is why I went for the actual sandwich maker this time cos from what I recall - sandwiches "puff" up a little.
Candyfloss maker used it twice had such a sugar high I ended up in hospital!!
