I had an onion chopper. You put half an onion in it, pushed the handle up and down as the blade rotated. It must much harder work than a knife.
Ah well actually Jack the bucket potato peeler belonged to my parents ( Dad got on alright with it) I sort of inherited it, and we are a huge family, with at that time somewhere between 12 and 20 people in the house most of the time.

Also, hands up who has a toffee hammer despite not having bought slab toffee foe years?

Today, I have had a new gadget delivered, a Brabantia jar opener. It looks very complicated and I don't know if I will be able to open a jar of beetroot with it.

Jahu, oh no - my interview procedure is very rigorous.
