When it reaches 50 (and feels like it's getting there today) I will have pegged out!!

Gonna have a very quiet day today, hopefully go somewhere fresh (as if!) for lunch, then bedroom with air con on all day as Mr N has the sports all day.
Sultanas will do nicely Jude..in fact there's a b'bird "chuck, chuck, chucking" right outside my window now....I swear they can read this puta...I'd love a go on a tractor, I'll put it on the 'to do' list.
Talking of farms made me wonder whether Hannah Hauxwell is still going strong... I've just had a look and I think she must be - I can't find anything since since last year.
Fireplanes are starting to go overhead as I type, I do hope they are only practising and there's not a fire on the island. Did you know that they can take water from swimming pools in an emergency, as long as there's noone swimming I suppose, and luckily my pool is too small!!
That must be a worry neti...

oh no, stop siphoning that pool!!

That's great, even got my leopardskin leggings!!
Note to all Biddies: I do not own any animalish skin either real or fake (except fpr a Snow Leopard coat in cold storage in England, which I inherited and do not wear ). Although I have fantastic legs I do not wear leggings

Got it??
yeh...got it....<pffffft!>

Animalish ! I love it .It's my new word for the week .Now come on Neti everyone has a leopardskin print scarf hidden in a drawer somewhere !
Hope you good folks are all tickety boo .Relapse with the leg which I won't bore you with suffice to say I must learn to walk before I can run .
Nice to see you Dolly .. we are enjoying our summer if only it would stop bldy raining :))
No more Wallander ? Tut . Do go round and have a word with him Sweedie ..though on the website it does say his last book will be The Worried Man . Though when we will get it here is to be left .In about five years time I suppose.

I used to go out with a chap who had a sports car .It was a little MG thingy .Good job I wasn't with him the night he wrapped it around a tree .He's still got a pin in his leg and is a grandfather now .! He always winks at me when I see him in the High Street :) He stops and chats when his wife isn't with him though .Haha.

Anyway ,we've got swarms of ladybirds at the mo' or bishy barnybees as we call them here .They are all over the washing and I have to keep shaking my bloomers out .
Have a lovely time down on the farm Jude .
Toodlepip for now .

A very big thank you to my Biddy FrIends ,not been a good year but I'm not good at talking about it consequently makes my depression worse. Anyway still breathing and putting weight on like mad -I eat when I'm feeling down - and feel more depressed when I weigh myself or try to get into last years clothes!!!
It's still Winter here and it's been pretty cold but the days are lovely just now in the 20's .I'm 76 next month and coming up to our 59th Wedding Anniversary this year (no TV in those days!)
Umm - no tv = lots of kiddies then!!
Dolly ..talk away pet . Nothing worse than feeling down in the dumps .I've been at my wits end lately so if you feel like letting it all hang out we are here to listen .
59 years eh ?That's wonderful and I wish you both all the best xx
continued
I'm hoping to last until next year when we should get a Certificate or something from the Queen for our Diamond (60th) Anniversary ..I don't care after that .
Neti I was worried about you when I read about the heat in Spain and the fires ,I do hope you'll be OK and don't get heat -stroke .
That applies to all of you in the UK as well as I believe you're in for a hot August (do you remember them -hot Augusts' I mean) Happy gardening and whatever other pursuits you'll be doing .Thanks again for your kind words ,I appreciate them .Time for bed 1130pm here .God bless Dolly xxx
Well I'll have an animalish brazziere soon...oooh, get me, I'll have to wear it on top of my clothes so the whole world can see how wild I really am. Actually I think I'm having a mid life crisis...well I can't drive so a sports car's out.

Many congrat's Dolly, that's a long time married! Spooky you mention weight 'cos I've just this minute been & weighed myself (& Charlie) ....still not put much on :o( ...and Chas is always the same -16lbs, ahhhh. Hot August? I was only saying t'other day that during most summers we only ever had really, really hot temps for a few days in August - I don't think they believed me.
No gardening today. In theory I'm sorting out drawers...in practise I'm boogerin about on here...
Well hello there. Back from my trip. Fab day there were 30 of us- all related. The oldest relative was a lovely lady of 80 who is my grandad's cousin (what does that make her to me - I don't know) she had driven herself there all the way from Derbyshire. she never goes on motorways and went all the way by the old roads and it takes her 3 and a quarter hours. It took us 2 hours. Bless her. There were 9 children and we had a game of 'fun' cricket in this huge field. I gave everybody a laugh falling my length diving for a ball which I missed Lol.

They have a barn which has been converted into a ,party, barn Where we ate and drank to our hearts content. Loverly!!

Try not to get too down Dolly we are all here to talk to if you feel like a chat anytime.

Well I've had my Horlicks and Cod Liver Oil capsule so I'll be off to bed I'm cream crackered so I'll say good night to you All see you soon x

morning...sounds like a lovely day Jude, it certainly wasn't cricket weather here...no better today either :o(

I'm really fed up of this now...whatever 'this' is...I feel horrendous, had less than 3hrs sleep last night. I think I'll dig a big hole here in shaney's garden ...correction, could someone dig it for me?....fall into it.... & then you can all fill it in & plant a stinking hellebore or sommink fitting.

Had a look at the Wooly webcam, it says it's messy & lumpy this morning...I hope that's not a description of Vinny in his animalish mankini...

feel free to pray for me, whatever...lol
Morning all - I couldn't sleep last night either Robi I finally drifted off at 5am and awake at 9am. Wish I'd known you were also awake, would have made me feel better and not so alone! Was worried about daughter as I knew she 'd been partying and hadn't heard from her for a couple of days, yes I know I have to let go but it's a worry, anyway she's fine, asking for money - nothing changes and I'm glad.

I'll never forget the other week when for the first time in my life I felt really down .- the black dog, I think shaney described it, it was horrible and although only lasted a few hours I cannot imagine how awful it must be to feel like that often. You were all so kind and understanding so yes, come to the biddies Dolly, we don't know each other and could pass in the street but here we are all supportive of each other.

Long live the Biddies!!!
Apparently there were 2 smallish fires here yesterday but were soon extinguished thank heavens as they spread so quickly. That was one of the things I was worrittin' about in my bed, whether there was a fire nearby as with the air con on and the windows shut, not sure if we'd smell it, but guess it would come through the air con. One lot of neighbours would waken us but the other side would let us burn!!
Possums. Beautiful day here and I think the Stockholm web cam is live and everything, unlike some ;-) so you can all have a look - or better yet have a look at some of my own photos. My eldest nephew gave me his old camera when he bought a new one and luckily I had it with me the other day when I chanced upon this little fellow. I've met him before, he's a real easy rider. (You can all stop looking for my reflection now, we must assume I'm a vampire as it simply isn't there).

Here's a pretty little street street in my part of town, named after an executioner who lived there in the seventeenth century (in the street, but the house itself isn't there anymore). As you can see, the auto settings don't always do contrast

And here's one I took of Robinia having lunch

(Will post more photos soon.)

Who knows, Robi, perhaps it's a mildish case of the piggy flu and then you'll be resistant...? (If that's how it works...?)

Yes that's true Shaney there is one more Wallander on its way, that was actually what I meant but it didn't sound like it I do that a lot :) If you ever decide to go to Ystad and do the Wallander tour I'll go there and meet you for the day. I'm not a Wallander fan but as I grew up there it would be nice to see the town again. I haven't been there since I was thirteen?

See the snake/hamster story in Animals? here
Oh I meant to post the link to the thread
Lovely pics sweedie...have you got the flu in Sweden? I see you've got puddy, so that's where he ended up...I gave him a one way ticket to 'Anywhere'...bloomin moggies, eating my birds.... :o)

oh sweet tale about the hamster...sorry hampster - that's what our paper calls them, dozy buffers....but I'm wonderin' if he made it through to old age? That news item's 3 yrs old...about the lifespan for a hammy :o/
