I have a fatsia japonica in my garden that has a stem with large globes of black berried on it that are starting to pull the plant over. Can I cut this stem off? I don't want to kill it by kindness!

Many Thanks

You can prune it back carole and now is the right time to do it.
We've got a huge one and I just cut it all back ..it soon recovers to sprout up again ....they like plenty of water.
I agree, cutting off the clusters of berries will not harn the plant. I'm thinking of doing mine tomorrow.
