jno dear, what part of "White as a ghost" don't you understand?? I'd love to be that orange!
Mock us all you like Robinia but tell me is there a willy factory in all of Derbyshire? Shouldn't think so! On behalf of Stockholm Visitors Board: Thank you Neti for bringing this factory to international attention. <Pssst - where exactly did you say it was?> BTW I passed by RICA Hotel on Kungsgatan the other day and I was wondering if they thought to tell their guests that the adjacent department store PUB is where Greta Garbo worked as a very young girl, selling hats. Eventually she modelled for the PUB catalogue but mainly she was a salesgirl.

You OK Jude or did Polly finally get you? Are you sure you speak Cat? My youngest nephew, who's three, got bitten by a cat the other day. His mum, my eldest half-sister, didn't want him to play with it in the first place but his dad insisted that all would be well and he was keeping an eye on everything and so forth. After the cat attack was a fact, my sister asked her husband what happened about keeping an eye on the situation and he replied saying that up until it bit the cat had been very happy, energetically waving its tail from side to side DUH! When a cat does that, it's mad as hell! It's a strong warning! So Jude if you only speak Dog? ...you could be getting Polly's messages wrong?

You mentioned a toilet across the yard, Jude, we had one of those in one of the places where I grew up and I remember running away from home once but I was afraid to go too far so I went erm across the yard to that toilet. And sat there for say two hours until a neighbour knocked on the door. Yes, I've always been a free spirit.
Oh look, somebody wrote a book about the biddies - almost!
I've just posted on the wrong question now. I give up!!
For anyone who might be interested I'm still alive and breathing(only just) .Enjoy your Summer .
Hi Dolly, of course we're interested ya silly snag! - isn't that what they call 'em down there? :o)
Summer? Well it's a case of here it is...oh, no it isn't. Actually it's lovely today, sunny breezy & not too hot. By the time my fake tan works though we'll be back to cagoules & galoshes.

oh neti you haven't gawn & posted that pic of me with my enhancements in motoring have you? What would I want with a 25yr old with a sports car?

Hi Dolly glad you are Ok. Stinking hot here, have warnings of a sirocco from Sahara next week, bringing the temps up to 50. Will be so glad to be in England soon.
I had a 25 yo with a sports car! mind you I was 22 myself then!!
Qyick pop in to say hi as doggie1 (Shughy) was up at 3 am this morning with a bad ear and a bad tum so I cleaned out his ear and anointed it and gave him milk and a biscuit for his tum so bed is calling with its siren tone.

BT man came and relaid our phone lines in the house this week, it cost an arm and a kidney but we now have stable broadband (touching wood) and a non crackly phone line for the forst time in donkey's ages.

catch youse all tomorrow when my eyes stay open without the matchsticks
Hi Dolly, I suspect everyone cares, 'cept me, if you see what I mean. You and I are just going to have to agree to disagree, and we will probably both feel more comfortable ignoring each other than trying to pretend nothing happened. I believe we stand too far apart on certain ideological issues to ever reconcile and it will only be upsetting to you, me and everyone else if we try.

That said, I for one hope you'll stay on. You were here long before I was, you're good fun and as far as I know no one wants you to feel the way you seem to be feeling right now (uncertain if anyone cares). I've seen nothing but consideration for you online and I haven't seen anything else offline (as in emails) either so you just get on the next kangaroo right back to the biddies and I'll ignore you and you'll ignore me and all will be well and all will be fine. We can do it.
To Dolly. All Biddies care about each other. Sometimes, like me, circumstances mean we disappear for a while and don't keep up with our friends on here, so we lose touch and don't know about all the problems, etc. that our friends on here have been through - that's life. I have had a truly horrible year so far and not been in touch much but what is so nice is that I can come back and pop in without apologising and know what a genuine bunch on folk there are on this thread and will always support me.

I sincerely hope you feel better soon. Take care of yourself.
...oh booger... I wish I could stay awake long enough to watch an entire tv prog, I either see the first half or the last half of everything.

hmmm, well I've had a fair shair of younger men with sports cars so that's that ticked off...I'm thinking younger man with a Rolls Royce next - bit more room for the shopping trolley :o)

50 degrees neti?! oh nooooo...it'll weld all your pegs to the line
Hello and goodnight Robinia.
and it's goodnight from me Lottie :o)

looks like the average temp here for the next week neti is fifteen degrees...deep joy
50 degrees everywhere, then - but because Britain obstinately sticks to Fahrenheit, that's why it feels so much colder here. Switch to Celsius and watch it get warmer, I say. And we'd get places a lot quicker if they switched to kilometres as well.
hello all, hope you are feeling better Robi, them virusses is a b. I had a bet with OH (well would have done but he wouldn't take me on) that the swine flu website would be under resourced...our NHS cannot take IT seriously...most of em are still at the stage of thinking that its a good toy but will never amount to much.
Hi Dolly, it can be a bit isolating with the time diff I know. I post on a craft website that is based in Utah and sometimes it feels like i am being deliberately ignored when all it is really is that most of the other posters are in bed and sleeping.
Is anyone else having a really great summer for roses? mine look like chelsea prizewinners this year...pity the rest of the garden looks like a bombsite lol...actually a miracle is happening and the grass is actually growing back...means i have to mow again of course :-(
Good Morning All I'm off down South today to see my cousin on her farm. There is going to be family from the Midlands and the South meeting up some for the first time. Really looking forward to it. Hope it's not raining down there like it is here.

Hi Dolly Good to see you. I come on here every now and again and when I've not been on for a while and then come back it feels like I've never been away so you keep in touch and take care.

I can hear a blackbird chirping away outside so let's hope it's a sign that the sun is going to come out.

See yer later 'gater(s) x

morning all...well they lied because it's 16 degrees according to my desktop...but of course that might mean inside my puta.

Yes woofy I've only got 2 or 3 now but my roses have been lovely - I used to have all roses on the front but they got old & woody & were hard work. I was upset at losing the Iced Gingers, fabulous fragrance, but something had to go. In fact everything that flowers has done so in a big way this year, I thought maybe the very cold winter kicked their butts a bit! I think I need mine kicking...I'm sure there's someone only too willing to oblige, haha.....slippers only, no toetectors!

Have a lovely time down ont' farrrmm Jude...hope you've got your wellies I've heard you'll be on mucking out duties ....Blackbird chirping means give me some raisins ....NOW! :o)
Hi Robilol the blackbird will have to have sultanas that's all I've got.

Not taking my wellies down to the farm having a day of rest. My brother has been down there some weeks now driving tractors and things he really loves it.

I know I'm not a gardener but my roses have been lovely too. I only have two bushes one pink and one white. Don't ask me what they are called. I think I did put a picture on here once of the pink one and, it may have been you told me what it was called, but I'm ashamed to say I can't remember.

Have a good sunday everyone bye for now!!
