None. Absolutely nothing.

Last years were so pathetic I've decided not to bother.

Same here regarding crop failure. I'll carry on though, I've got 400 sq m of allotment to fill!
Oh lucky you! I've been on the waiting list for an allotment for, what seems like, forever!

First earlies - Sharpes Express.
Mine were crap last year, Desiree, very poor. I got blight on the other veg patch a couple of years ago and I'm not sure I should plant any spuds or toms there this year, what do you think?
Ratte, pink fir, Anya, Charlotte, Emerald Isle (or something like that)..maybe something new for a change too.
Never think it's worth planting main crop - by the time they come up the dratted pests have had half of them.

I also like to grow stuff that isn't easily available in the supermarket - have had some success with Pink Fir Apple http://www.thompson-morgan.com/vegetables/potatoes/maincrop/potato-pink-fir-apple/zww5011TM absolutely delicious with salad & cold meats.
After such a poor wet growing season last year I am going for a blight resistant Sarpo Mira,as a main crop.
A fellow allotment holder planted 12 varieties, and only one came up without blight... Sarpo Mira.
Think I might chance a few Picasso's as well, as they seem to grow to become great roasters.
I have another variety which I shall pick up on Sunday, but I don't know what they are yet. I've never had a problem with blight - touch wood.
International Kidney and king Edwards if I can be bothered.

I've got Vales Emerald, Sharpes Express & Rocket chitting in my kitchen at the moment ...(all 1st earlies). For maincrop I'm going to try Vivaldi this year, along with Maris Piper & King Edward.

I tried Sharpo Mira a couple of years ago, not very good for eating & took for ages to cook.
Managed to get some Yukon Gold this year, have been looking the last few years. Lovely yellow flesh, in anticipation. When the weather warms up we will all get our enthusiasm back
I'm a Rocket devotee, they haven't failed me yet, even last year. I have them chitting now along wih some Charlotte second earlies.
Lady Christl ; Charlotte ; Desiree ; Lady Balfour ; Pink Fir Apple ; Maris Peer.
The earlies will be grown in potato bags - the maincrop in the ground. This year I must remember to spray Dithane 945 on my spuds and tomatoes!
Earlies - Duke of York
Main Crop - Rooster
First Earlies - Accent. These taste so creamy you hardly need to add butter (but of course I do).
