The very thought of a large flame and gas combination makes me wonder who ever thought of this as a fun activity in the first place.

And most hot air balloon flights are fine

We've made one of those flights in the Masai Mara and it was great
We decided not to in Egypt - concerns for safety not being that much of a priority generally in Egypt

My wife and I have done it, twice. Once in the Yorkshire Dales, once from York racecourse. Cost about £90 each person both times. No problems at all. It was interesting, but I wouldn't call it 'exciting'. Would I go up again? Probably, but I like to move a bit faster, so I would prefer something with an engine that pulls me along.
