Does anyone know the number of McDonalds that have closed down due to lack of business?  I know in Barbados one closed down due to lack of business, but does anyone know of any others?  I live in Ireland and I have never seen one close down. [actually just looking through the archive I see something about one closing down on the Edgeware rd, but I am still looking for other examples]

regards

Not in our area, but it wouldn't bother me if they all closed down - it is after all junk food!

The only thing I've ever enjoyed from McDonalds, was a super thick, freezing cold strawberry milkshake!

omg!!!!!!! dont say that!!!!
One closed down last year in Berkeley, CA from lack of business.

One closed down in Glenrothes, Fife because the main shopping centre locked up early evening and it was apparently having other problems as well.

A 2nd McDonalds on a nearby industrial/retail estate seems to go on from strength to strength.

The one in Larne Co. Antrim closed down apparently from lack of business.
One on Market Street in Manchester city centre closed down last year, but I'm not sure if it was due to lack of business. I don't think they opened one to replace it though.

Not so much closed down, but 2 in my area fired all their staff because allegedly they had been doing nasty things with the food - use your imagination - do you want any mayo with that?!!

Well that has well & truly put me off Mc milkshakes from now on!
My in-laws went to India 2 years ago and there was a McRajes....LOL.

I live in New Zealand (Browns Bay Auckland) a McDonalds opened in Browns Bay in the early 80's and apparently it was one in the first in the World to ever close down - (and apparently there was one in Russia)

Mcdonalds in Sydney has two outlets closed.

One at Fairlight above Manly Beach, the other at Chatswood, on Sydney's North Shore.  Only 500 or so to go.
