also a few on sainsburys.co.uk - they give recipe ideas if you just type in red cabbage. Nice one with bacon and chestnuts.
I've posted a recipe on your Q in.....recipes!
Red cabbage - cold:

Cut very finely (chiffonade) and use in a nice colourful coleslaw inc. - mayonnaise, apple, raisin, carrot.

Stir fry some nice plump prawns - c/w head on. Make a salad bed of red cabbage, white cabbage, chicoryand spring onions. Serve hot prawns on veg and dress with fave. flavoured oil - chili oil or a drop of mustard oil would be nice. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, hemp seed and toasted almond slices.

Make a crunchy salad - kidney bean, haricot bean, soy bean, chilled cooked broccoli, raw cauliflower and red cabbage. Chuck in a few sliced water chestnuts and sprouting sprouts for extra vitamin boost and a quick dribble of a sesame seed oil to enhance the nutty flavour. Just needs a nice warm fresh bread for this....you cold include raisins, cooked diced bacon and walnuts too....

Chilled shellfish soup with cabbage - make up a nice stock, strain and chill before serving. Add cooked shellfish of choice - crab flakes, flaked fish, prawn, etc. Add finely shredded red cabbage, chili flakes and coriander. Stir in and serve.
Or - Serve hot with won ton as well to make a meal..

Red cabbage - hot:

Easiest way - place in a pan 1 tablespon of water and 1 tablespoon of red wine vinegar. Add a little brown sugar, cover pan and bring to boil - takes 1 min. Shred cabbage very fine, add to hot pan and cover. Shake after 30 secs. Serve after 1 min more.
Add in walnuts - toasted and diced - and a some orange, cut into pieces and 'de-whited'
You can also add cooked diced bacon and also raisins to this - very German dish.

Make a red cabbage borstch - nice hearty soup - or go all 'nouvouy' and make it thin and as a consomme.

Steam the cabbage til the outer leaves are just soft. Core it and stuff with pork meat, or turkey mince, or a nice mix of veg etc. Steam to cook and finish it off and serve with other veg.

Peel off the largest outer leaves, fill with minced chicken, sliced veg, diced bacon, oriental veg and seasonings - steam to make filled parcels. Serve as aprt of a nice finger meal...

Stir fry sliced red cabbage and use as a base for serving baked / poached firm white fish - nice bit of hake or monkfish with an orange and walnut dressing in a balsamic vinagrette and diced bacon pieces comes to mind here...

Use the red cabbage in any stir fry dish - goes esp. well with any seafood as a contrast in colour.

Add texture and colour to any stew. Add towards the end so the leaves don't break down too much.

Goes really well with pork chops - add the nuts and orange too for colour and flavour.

Other ideas:
Red cabbage, potatoes and home made corn beef.
Paprikash
Gado gado
Add to a mushroom stroganoff
Red cabbage and orange chutney
Kimchi
And red cabbage, walnut and orange filled ravioli ?

Hope this helps..
Don't have it to hand but there was a geat one in the Xmas Edition of Good Food mag. Might be on line
