…then another, then a bottle of fizz, it is Saturday after all.
We haven’t consumed all that..yet..but will open the fizz once our meal is ready, which tonight is carrot and lentil burgers in an oven bottom muffin, and a huge pile of homemade coleslaw (I really don’t know why I buy supermarket coleslaw, homemade is so much nicer and fulfils part of our daily veg requirement).
I have also taken an apple pie out of the freezer so we will be having some of that with ice cream, don’t often have pud so this is a treat.
Will be watching Colin from Accounts too.
That’s our exciting Saturday evening sorted, what about you…drinks, meal, telly, clubbing, pubbing, other????????

I’m so glad I read your post about Colin, Tilly, I think we might have completely overlooked it. I love Aussie telly stuff.
Now, I’m glad you mention Magpie Murders, Helen, I’ve never been drawn to it, worth a watch?
Question Author
Having a drink too, Helen, or staying sober tonight? ;)
Already had a vodka & o j. Tonight's supper will be fish cakes, chips & salad. Then another vodka, whilst listening to music & hopefully catch the 1% club.
We are having prawn and pepperoni pizza because we didn't have it last night. Later I'm going to have a special Barbados Plantation XO rum with coke. It's been one of those weeks.
Bolgnese, Miller Genuine Draft and the remains of the Pino Grigio that lightweight couldn't finish.
Multi-tasking ...trying to finish a quiz, music playing, footie(no sound)on TV, surfing net and, of course, returning to AB from time to time. Cointreau on hand, if required! Earlier had a chops grill.
Magpie murders definitely worth a watch
May have a martini espresso or 2
Well we'll be watching Colin from accounts too! I havent informed Mr T of that yet.

Mt T is cooking Mediterranean veg, meatballs and fusilli and we have grapes afterwards. I will have cheese. But MrT really isnt keen on cheese unless it' s used in cooking. Oooooh and I have not started on my second dark choc egg he bought me. I just remembered. I dont drink but perhaps Mr T might have a beer. He gave up proper drinking after a nasty heart attack 13 years ago and lost a lot of surplus weight.
So cheers all tou lovely ladies and Douglas xx

Home-made beefburgers (must start cooking them in 2 mins.) with roast potatoes and salad -- a mix, like the weather!

Snooker on the telly, but I will probably be keeping half an eye on it whilst straining my brain to write as story as my 'homework' from the writing group I attend. Given subject 'Out for the count...'. I rather think that I may call it 'Out for the Count' and do a 'Dracula' story........
I would add I'm not T total, just completely gone off anything alcholic except the occasional dry red wine with steak or dry white wine and soda spritzer with ice and lemon if we eat out.
Sausage and mash, for me, didn't fancy much, but needed to eat to take meds. Been stitching all day so my hands are sore. Just watching tv until it's time to head for bed.
Chicken massaman with saffron rice and some brocolli stir fried on the side as it needs to be used up.
Just enjoying a Australian boxed Chardonnay from Lidl. Very nice to.
Have the hob on and am cooking a delicious Achari Kingfish Curry.
I know it's delicious because I cooked an Achari Chicken Curry earlier in the week and it went down well. Decided to use King fish today to ring the changes. After the washing up is done will settle down in front of the box with a couple more glasses of something. Bon apetite and Sante
erm well, started at 2am, two cases of beer two of us, indian on the way, let's see where my classic rock takes me...
Jourdain
'Out for the Count' and do a 'Dracula' story........

That sounds like the finale to my evening. :-)
Just come in from a lovely evening walk with Dylan. Very nice walking weather here.
Fifty years ago, I would never have imagined that I would spend Saturday night dog walking, cooking and watching
TV.
