For us, it’s corned beef hotpot which will do us a couple of days. With pickled beetroot and maybe brown sauce, depends on how tasty it turns out.

Roast chicken trumps everything else in my book!

Chx -airline speak for chicken. I don't eat much ordinary food to be fair. I just don't like it. Goes back to school days when we had to eat what we were given.

I LOVED school diners. Dead dog / pink custard. Just try getting that at Michelin caffs!

I loved school dinners too, the only thing I didn’t like was mince, it was just minced up gristle. But everything else I loved, all the stuff no one else would eat, yum!
I hated school dinners. I hated the *** of a cook in our junior school as well. I don't think she liked me much either.
When we were fairly skint teachers with a mortgage on our first house, £3250, that's the house not the mortgage we used to make a corned beef hash with a suet crust in one of the big beige mixing bowls. When we'd had some on day 1 we'd put another 'lid' on it for day 2, obviously smaller and we could make it last almost all week putting a new, smaller lid on each day, always with pickled red cabbage.
I haven't been to the shops for a while so I'm eating my way through the contents of the store cupboard and frozen veg in the freezer.
It'll be either a tin of salmon or mackerel with rice and steamed broccoli and cauliflower.
Beetroot? It's like eating purple soil.
It's not bad when it's pickled. Otherwise it is earthy.

Beetroot - I luv it, luv it, luv it .. can't get enough of it.

I really like pickled or roasted beetroot, but one of our daughters in law makes a veg smoothie type thing and all I can taste is the earthy/soil of the raw beetroot in it.I’ve tried really hard but I really can’t stomach it.
Prawns and a heavily mushroom-ed stir-fry (I need to use up some muchrooms).
It might possibly be pepper stuffed with goats cheese and crispy pancetta. It was originally going to be fishy stuff of some sort...but I had prawns tonight. A reduced pack of Honduran Prawn pil pil from M and S. TBH...I could have done better myself, but at 1/2 price this was cheap.
I used to make a Chettinad chicken recipe by Madhur Jeffrey...I must make it again, it was really good.
