How do you have yours? Toasted, straight from the packet, heated up, buttered, with jam etc?

Do you even like them? Are they the same recipe as teacakes but with a cross?

I pop mine in the toaster and lavish them with oodles of butter.
I much prefer the fruited ones.
Gently warmed in the air fryer for five minutes - then butter and marmalade

mmmmm .... hungry now
Good HXBs are much denser and aromatic than teacakes - Aldi specially selected are good this year.
Sliced, toasted, split in two...orange curd on one side, Belgian plain chocolate spread on the other...sandwiched together again.
Instant choc-orange bun.
Toasted with butter - like the idea, not sure about the aftertaste.

Wouldn't get the ones with "extras" - caramel/choc/etc.

Aldi were/are selling a hot cross bun flavoured liqueur!
M&S fruits ones are nice. I like mine cut in half and buttered.
I'm not fond of them but I like tea loaf.
You wouldn't fancy the M&S cheese and marmite flavour ones then Dave
ughhh!
I bought M&S cheese ones, and nice as they are, it just seems all wrong when you bite into them and get strong cheese flavour instead of the usual traditional taste. I love cheese scones but these just don’t compute in my mind.
I have normal ones cut in half, toasted and slathered with salty butter. Actually, I might try a cheese one, toasted, buttered and with marmalade or lemon curd, I love the sweet/salty taste.
I love cheese and marmite but they didn't float my boat.
Halved, toasted lashings of butter (I'm an icon of health and fitness) dollop of Strawberry jam. job done.
asda sell nice ones too - their own make
I'm afraid I lose my appetite when confronted with a reminder of the device used to torture and execute our lord and saviour.

Chocolate bunnies though, now you're talking.
Wow cor blimey, it must be a nightmare on Nov 5Th, that Guy had a plan.
I never eat them. One would lead to scoffing the whole package in an evening. If I did it would be toasted with lots of butter. When I worked, we would get dozens of packs donated. Hot cross bread and butter pudding was often on the menu...yummm.
