Gravy ?

I'm having toad in the hole, mash and peas, tonight.

The trouble is, my gravy granules have gone rock solid, in the bottom of the jar and it says best before Oct 2014.

All I have is some vegetable oxo, vegemite and brown sauce. would this be ok to make some gravy ?

do you like onion gravy?
if you have onion, oil, vege oxo and a spoonful of flour youcould make it

Get a sharp knife and chip away at the solid gravy until you've got enough bits of gravy. Put in Pyrex jug, add boiling water and away you go.

The last onion went yesterday.
I'v found some red oxo at the back of the cupboard (b b Oct /12).
I'm using some of the mash to thicken the "gravy"

Why don't you just for tonight forget the toad in the hole and do bangers and mash, a good dollop of lurpak, forget the gravy, few peas on the side
