Aren't they brilliant?  Put oven on, take out of box, prick plastic covering, bob in oven, sod off for half an hour, come back and its done, and if you make the kids eat em out of the plastic carton they came in theres no washing up. Ace

hey deesel you are right there, but I dont have a microwave :(      Im lazy enough lol
Tesco s chunky chips mmmmmmmm
yuck! sorry i hate ready meals! to much salt and other cr@p for my liking and it shrivels up either way you cook it!
..AHHH!...I could live out of Marks and Sparks food hall....Waitrose too are fantastic...........drool..drool.....mmmm...Tesco Finest.....yum yum yummy....boobesque you're getting your stuff from the wrong shops........<G>
ooh commoner, i would be bankrupt if i bought them where you do, i would rather pay the same amount and buy fresh ingridients and cook it myself, get to feed two of us that way! The only time ready meals come in our house is if our little boy is unwell and i am too tired to cook.
ready meals are nasty..i have tried two when i was alone and to lazy to cook just for me..i couldnt eat them and the dog refused them also..and they were good quality ones ..its cheaper to make your own and you get more goodness..from home made..which means less illness later in your life...you are what you eat is a very true saying..
.lol.....As some of you might have guessed, my post was just a bit of fun....as I suspect pixi's original post was <G>......Although we do occasionally use M&S ready prepared food ..which really is surprisingly good, I (72 yrs) normally cook fresh food for my wife and myself and totally agree with boobesque and mullein2 that it is more nutritious and far better value for your money than ready cooked.......notice I said ready PREPARED which is somewhat different to my mind than ready cooked....enjoy your food guys whatever you choose....commoner ;-)

hi all,

hee heee commoner, you saw straight through me, lol, to be honest I very rarely eat ready made meals.  mr pixi is a brill cook and feeds me all sorts of delicious food in vast quantities.

I just read our post and was about to give you a right slap for saying that,(ex chef, cant help it) but obviously mr p has seen sense....send him round to me,I could use a sous chef.
that was supposed to say "your", oh and I made a loaf of bread and  a quiche and some cookies yesterday.
I eat too many ready meals. I read somewhere that the plastic containers contain chemicals that can cause cancer??!?
