Yes, disembowel the sender and the sendee.

No wait....

I got one t'other day, ignore all of the above!
I don't think so. I think it's frowned upon to do FAO XYZ and then go on to say 'you have an email' or something similar that excludes other users.
no idea, send an FAO to the Ed to ask :)
I think if another site member has a particular area of expertise then its ok... lots of FAO Sqads...and Barmaids... and JJs others will join in anyway...

You fao'd me on an ITU question I remember... I don't think that caused a problem

do you think i should red ? :) hi doc.
No post what you like! The ab "police" may say something- not the ed!! (ab police nothing better to do with their time ) x
I think Ummmm's right. I'm pretty sure I've seen the Ed say before that FAO's to people that are followed with things like "I've sent you an e-mail" are not allowed as it leads to people feeling excluded.

To be honest, I've never quite understood why you would send someone a message to tell them you've sent them a message.

im sure i saw a post last week, where an aber said they ( FAO ) were not allowed, i go see if i can find it,
I seen it as well Anne. Can't remember what thread though. But I think they have it slightly mixed up.
I saw one too, but I got the feeling the person who said it wasn't allowed just doesn't like the OP.
was it this one by any chance?
I did leave the O and the A off :-)

Where, in that thread, does someone say the FAO's are against Site Rules Bobbi?
Sugar...sorry :-)
they asked if it was allowed,, it may not have been this thread at all :-)))
still don't know if they are or not..I have a feeling they are not as it was once said "This is not a messaging service"
"I'm pretty sure I've seen the Ed say before that FAO's to people that are followed with things like "I've sent you an e-mail" are not allowed as it leads to people feeling excluded."

And they will be removed. Stirring FAO's are of course allowed.

It was stated or at least hinted at here too.
you mean stirring as in uplifting ?
No disembowelments then? awwwww :-(
Oh so it is the content rather than the title Ed??
